The installation is composed of a video projection and a LCD. The projection shows Death Valley's "Racetrack" lake bed with its mysterious moving rocks and their carved trails. The video was created by mounting a camera on a radio-controlled rover. The image's perspective is of an average boulder on the playa. The LCD is positioned on a stand in front of the projection and displays 5 animated text tableaux in a loop. The text appears letter-by-letter, as if typed on a computer keyboard. The SynneScriptTM font was especially designed for the piece and is a copyright of the artists.
