The installation is comprised of a video projection and a variable number of straw bales. In the video, the well-known musical triptych Trois Gymnopédies by Erik Satie is used as the backdrop for the contemporary American rodeo. By weaving the slow motion imagery with the meditative piano music, the rodeo becomes a gracious dance with the monumental characters. The three subtle musical variations highlight three different categories within the competition.
