A vertically suspended video beamer projects a circle-shaped image onto a white pillow on the floor. The video shows the view from a remote-controlled camera, searching for physical remnants of the GDR's Berlin Wall (1961-1989) on numerous locations along the wall's former path through the city. The circle-shaped image slowly spins, which stands in a stark contrast to the dynamic pace of the video footage. The subtle soundtrack, which is emitting from the video beamer, is a continuous repetition of Paul Lincke's¹ composition "Berliner Luft."² This 100-year-old march is a hymn of Berlin. For the installation purpose, the composition is recorded live while played on a small musical-box that could be found in most tourist stores around Berlin.
